Reasons to Join CBSW

Let's not write a series of long paragraphs to tell you why you belong at CBSW; no one has time to read through all that. Your time is valuable and, if you've made it to this page, you're already looking to be part of a Jewish community for a variety of reasons. 

So, we made this easy for you. 

• We have that small hometown Jewish feel that so many people love. 
• We offer services and programs to help our members find a sense of belonging at all stages of life. 
• Our Rabbi, staff, and volunteer leaders actually talk to new members, not just those they've known since they were in diapers.
• You need a safe bet for High Holy Day services so your mom/bubbe/zaide/(fill in the appropriate relative) can be proud of you for going. 
• Jewish holidays just aren't the same without seeing a whole bunch of other people doing the same thing as you, and it's great to have a rabbi answer your questions that didn't come up at the top of your Google search.
• Sunday school is still the place for teens to socialize, parents to be profusely thankful for not feeling guilty in dropping off their child(ren) for 2.5 hours on a Sunday morning, and volunteers to pat themselves on the back for passing on Jewish education & traditions to the next generation. 
• Let's be honest, you want to have a good system set up for your upcoming bris, baby naming, b'nai mitzvah, marriage ceremony, and the rest of life's events so that you can focus on what you want rather than scrambling with everything else.
• CBSW's poker night/mahjong circle/(insert typical Jewish social gatherings) group needs another player, and you're available. 
• You really want to explore the side of you that you never knew about after getting results from an online DNA genealogy testing site. Or, you married into this and are being supportive of your partner's religion. Either way, we're happy to share the "inside baseball" of Jewish history, culture, and traditions.
• You can't beat the location. The Woodlands makes you feel like you're camping and connecting with nature... without the hassle of actually camping.
• The weather could be better some days here in the summer, but that's what air conditioning is for. Our AC works very well.
• You need a good tax deduction for your charitable contributions but want to get something out of it as well. We've got what you're looking for! Oh, and CBSW's donations page is right here.
